Needle Felting 201: Basic Faces

Learners will create a basic head shape and put simple facial features on it.

Class Level: Intermediate

What You Will Learn: 

• Select good fibers for Needle Felting
  
• Make a small 3D shape
  
• Add facial features to the created shape
  
• Selecting felting needles appropriate to the project

Class Pre-Reqs: Know the basic skills of needle felting.

Format: Lecture/Demo/Practice

Materials To Purchase (Available In Store as a Kit):

• 2-3 Medium Felting Needles (size 36)
• 2-3 Fine Felting Needles (size 40)
• Corriedale fiber
• 1 oz base color (natural light gray or white)
• 1 oz covering fiber (all of it will not be used) this is the outer color of your face

We Will Provide:

• An assortment of mixed colors for creating features such as the eyes
• Wool Felting Mats
