Knit or Knot MAL

Join makers from Nebraska, Colorado, and Minnesota for a cozy cardigan adventure! Choose to knit the Seasons Cardigan by Ozetta Knitwear or crochet the Nantucket Cardigan by Two of Wands. Starting on Sunday, January 26th, at 1 pm MT/2 pm CT, we’ll stitch together over 8 weeks to create a ribbed cardigan perfect for layering.

This hybrid make-along features:

• Virtual meet-ups you can join from home or one of the participating shops. 
• A Facebook group to help keep you motivated and get inspiration from other stitchers.
• In-store stitching sessions at Eccentric Lamb Fiber Arts (Ogallala, NE), The Tangled Ball (Edgewater, CO), and Warm & Wooly Yarn Shop (North Branch, MN).
• Opportunities to learn from instructors at all three shops, win prizes, and connect with new friends across three states.

We’re spotlighting Cascade Woolpaka, with kits available for starting January 2nd, both online and in-store. Wrap up your creation in style with a virtual "wrap (yourself in it)" party on March 23rd!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTERING FOR THE MAL: 

1. Review the chart below to determine the size you'd like to make.
2. Add your MAL kit to your cart. PLEASE ADD A NOTE TO YOUR CART WITH THE COLOR # YOU WANT. 
   1. Kits include: yarn, pattern, and custom MAL project bag
3. Depending on how many participants we have and how popular your favorite color is, we might need to order more yarn! Place your order by 1/15 if you need the yarn shipped and 1/19 if you're doing in store pickup. This ensures you will have the yarn you need before our kickoff on the 26th!
4. Purchase any other supplies you need to make your cardi
   1. Hooks/Needles
      1. Hooks: 6mm (J) & 8mm (L) 
      2. Needles: US 7 ( 4.5mm) double pointed needles and 16” circular needles. US 9 (5.5mm) 16” and 32-40”
5. After purchasing your yarn, you will receive an email with Zoom links for virtual events, the MAL Facebook group, and all the other details for this exciting event!
6. Our official kickoff date is January 26th. While we ask that you refrain from starting the actual cardigan until then, we recommend doing a gauge swatch ASAP.
