Party at the Yarn Shop!

After many requests we are happy to announce that our next party at the yarn shop will be a PIZZA PARTY! Pajamas are encouraged, but not required. This is an after hours event so we will have the whole shop to ourselves!

We now have a projector at the shop to watch a movie in the classroom during our pizza party!

Laine Publishing Books

We have 7 new books all from Laine Publishing! These books are GORGEOUS and have so many patterns. Shop in store or online to get inspiration for your next project. Cashmere and Coconuts Yarn

Cashmere and Coconuts came to bring our custom yarn for LYS day, and while she was here we couldn't resist getting more sock yarn! We have so many new colors in MCN Sock and Basic Sock, as well as some fabulous kits. These are all available in store only. 

Firefly Notes Restock

We love our notion tins from Firefly Notes! We restocked our large size tins and several stitch marker sets. Not sure what to do with the notion tins? Checkout this video.

Knitting 102 & 103

In Knitting 102, learn how to purl. In Knitting 103, learn how to fix mistakes in your knitting! Please note the date for Knitting 103 has been changed.

Crochet 101 for Kids

Thursday nights from 5pm-6pm

We are switching gears with our kids beginner crochet classes. To accommodate a variety of skill levels, you are now able to sign up for kid's classes one week at a time. For brand new crocheter's, we recommend signing up for 3 classes in a row and then taking classes as needed. 
*No class on May 2nd

Natural Dye Workshop

Wednesday, May 1st

Learn the basic principles of natural dyeing with dried marigold flowers, including yarn preparation, dye extraction, and immersion dyeing.

Tunisian 201: Listopad Stole

Wednesday, May 15th, 29th & June 12th
5:30pm-7:30pm
(3 Sessions)

Advance your Tunisian crochet skills with this gorgeous wrap! This piece will be the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe. As this is a larger project made with a thinner yarn, classes are spaced out every other week to allow plenty of time to finish each section.

Nalbinding 101

Thursday, May 16th

6pm-8pm

(1 Session)

Nalbinding is an ancient technique that predates crochet and knitting where instead of weaving yarn together you are creating knots. This technique makes a fabric that can be cut without falling apart. No previous skills are needed to take this class!

Crochet Block of the Month

May's block of the month is a granny square! If you've never made one or need to brush up your skills, join us for this class! Open to anyone, even if you have not taken other block of the month classes.

Tunisian 101: Mug Rug

If you're brand new to Tunisian crochet, this class is for you! Learn the basics of Tunisian while making an adorable mug rug.

Crochet 101: Washcloth

Wednesday, May 22nd

(1 Session)

This class is for the brand new crocheter or those looking to dust off old skills. Learn how to crochet a chain and single crochet stitch to make a simple washcloth.

Knitting Clinic for April will be on EVERY Tuesday evening from 6pm-8pm. Saturday clinics will be by appointment only. If you need help with a knitting project outside of a clinic time, please contact the shop so we can get something scheduled!

Current and Finished Projects 

We have our first and second finishers for the Warm and Wooly MAL!! Hannah was our first finisher with her crocheted Sandbar Cardi. She used Nifty Cotton Effects.

Emily was our second finisher, also crocheted. She made her cardigan with Pandamonium! 

We have many knitters well on their way with the No Frills sweater. Last night I got to see Lochlan's progress! She is using Cascade Heritage and Mohair Royal and it is SO SOFT.
