Benchmark Sweater KAL

We are less than a week away from our next KAL and just restocked!! We have a couple new colors available in North Ave TWISTS and 5 gorgeous colors available in North Ave PRIMARIES. 

What's the difference?
North Ave TWISTS: The plies are hand-dyed separately and plied to create a semisolid marled yarn. 
North Ave PRIMARIES: After being spun at Harrisville Designs in New Hampshire, PRIMARIES are hand-dyed in the skein in Baltimore.

The PRIMARIES collection is also almost half the price of the original TWISTS, which makes it a much more accessible sweater! 
*Side note, you can still participate in the KAL using a different yarn. While we LOVE Plied and the sweater was designed with this yarn, we value accessibility. As long as there is some amount of Plied Yarns in the sweater (even if it's just a bobbin) you are still eligible to win prizes!

What is a KAL?

A KAL—short for knit-along—is a group activity, where knitters are working the same pattern at the same time. It is a great way to work a pattern with the support of other knitters!

All the Details

When: Kickoff/Cast on party at the shop on Sunday, September 29th! The designer of the sweater will be joining us virtually!! During our kickoff we will be swatching and casting on. 
If you can't make it in person, join us on Zoom!

How can I participate? Come into the shop to pickup the yarn for your sweater, or purchase the yarn online. We have 4 sample sweaters in the shop (pictured below). Come try them on to figure out what size you'd like to knit and get inspiration for your colors! 

Join the Facebook group to share pictures and progress updates with other KAL participants. If you want to work on the KAL in person, join Evette in the shop every other Sunday starting on October 6th from 12pm-4pm.

Prizes!
At the end of the KAL, we'll randomly choose three knitters who finished their Benchmarks to win prizes!

First prize: $100 Warm & Wooly gift card
Second prize: Three skeins of your choice of Plied North Ave
Third prize: Free Class at Warm & Wooly (up to $75 value)

To be eligible for a prize, you must finish your Benchmark by November 22nd, 2024, and either send us or tag us in a photo of your finished project. Your project must include some Plied yarn—any amount from a few bobbins to a full sweater!
