Warm and Wooly is awesome.
Here's why.
We're more than just a place to buy yarn; we're a community where crafters gather, learn, and connect. Join us for our exciting classes, where you can learn new techniques, refine your skills, and forge lasting friendships with fellow yarn enthusiasts. Our cozy space invites you to browse, linger, and draw inspiration from the beautiful array of fibers that surround you.
Our Story
At 12, I learned to knit yet never finished a project. In 2019, I fell in love with crocheting after being asked to crochet a washcloth as a gift. Never having crocheted before, and not thinking I would enjoy it, I borrowed hooks for my first two projects and learned the bare minimum to be able to finish them decently. Little did I know that my love for crochet and fiber arts would only grow from there!
My educational background is in Youth Development Studies and I have spent several years working in the field as a Youth Development Specialist in a residential facility and Program Director at a non-profit serving middle and high school students. After seeing the positive impact crocheting made on my own mental health, I started teaching youth how to crochet. After teaching crochet within my youth development jobs for a few years, I started teaching online through TakeLessons in summer 2022. With every new student I fell more in love with teaching and fiber arts.
The art of crocheting and the fiber community have deeply impacted my life in a way I am forever grateful for. When the opportunity came to open my own yarn shop, how could I refuse?! I am deeply committed to making Warm and Wooly something special for our community and hope to see other people find something wonderful here!

Our Vision
Welcome to Warm and Wooly, where comfort, community, and creativity come together. At Warm and Wooly, our vision is not merely to create a retail space, but rather a warm and welcoming community hub for all yarn enthusiasts. We want to foster a sense of belonging where people can come together, share their passion for crafting, and find comfort in the world of fibers.
Our shop has a dedicated classroom for teaching fiber arts. We host classes for knitting, crochet and tunisian crochet to teach basic skills or complete specific projects. Beyond hooks and needles we have monthly yarn dying classes and hope to eventually host workshops for spinning, weaving and other fiber crafts!
We have a large lounge area for fiber artists to work on projects and share social stitching times. Warm and Wooly is passionate about making this a beginner friendly space. If you've never knit or crocheted before, this is a safe place to learn! We aim to carry a wide variety of fibers, weights, colors and price points.
Kickstarter Campaign
To help support the opening of our new shop, we ran a kickstarter campaign from August 10th to September 9th. Thanks to our amazing community we not only met our goal, we exceeded it!! We are hard at work using those funds to build the oasis we promised. See the details of our campaign here.
Learn from the best...
My name is Janet Renner. I learned to knit when I was a child but really developed a passion for it about 16 years ago when I walked in to our local yarn shop and signed up for my first class in knitting socks. I love everything from picking colors to pattern choices. I like to try new things and learn new techniques and share that knowledge with others.
