Meet the Owner

Hello! My name is Kaitlyn, and I started crocheting in 2019 to make a gift. What began as a one-time project quickly became a beloved hobby, helping me navigate tough mental health days and discover a wonderful community of friends and fellow crafters. This creative hobby has grown into a passion, and it is my greatest privilege to now work full-time as the owner of what I hope will become your favorite Local Yarn Shop.

My greatest joys in this job include teaching classes, designing new crochet and Tunisian patterns, and, of course, buying yarn! Outside of work, I cherish every moment spent with my husband and our three children. I look forward to meeting you and sharing the joy of yarn crafts together.

Thank you for supporting our shop and happy stitching!

Colorful Opening Stitch Markers

Colorful Opening Stitch Markers

$10.00
Cocoknits
An offshoot of the Colorful Ring Stitch Markers – opening markers are perfect for tracking row counts, number of stitches when casting on, and so many other uses. The thin metal keeps them flexible as a ‘safety pin’ style marker, and since they’re steel they cling to the Maker’s Keep or any magnet.

DMC
Why get just one color when you could get all 25?! This set is complete with every current color in the Happy Chenille collection. Take the guess work out of gifting by picking up this ready to go set.
Happy Chenille

Happy Chenille

$2.00
DMC
A velvety soft addition to our Happy amigurumi family, these irresistible little balls of Sirdar Happy Chenille will make your cute crochet characters even more adorable. As well as the sweetest pastels, you’ll discover a range of richer, deeper shades to add depth and personality to your Happy Chenille makes.
Curved Cable Needles

Curved Cable Needles

$6.50
Cocoknits
Most knitters are familiar with the metal needle with the dip in the middle for holding stitches while working a cable. These are made in a length that is perfect to go on the Cocoknits Maker’s Keep – not too long that it will stab your arm, not too short that they’re too hard to use.
Always so helpful. First time I was in, one of the gals helped me learn how to read patterns when I had mentioned I didn't know how and it's opened up so many more projects for me. Anytime I need help finding comparables I'm given multiple options. Very knowledgeable group. Katie has created a gem in North Branch. Photo of a project completed with beautiful yarn from the shop!

My friend Nancy and I love Warm and Wooly! What is not to like about a friendly warm yarn shop, with great lighting, comfy chairs and a fireplace. Oh ya, and super owner and her assistants. There has been a lot of thought that went into this yarn shop and the yarn is spectacular.

Great open floor plan shop. Room to move around and look. Friendly staff if they don't have what you need ask they most likely have it on order or can order it in. Have ordered yarn a couple times and the wait was not long a couple weeks most. Friday night Knitting is wonderful. Meeting other people who enjoy knitting All age ranges.

What a lovely shop and owner. Went there for the first time today and even though it’s 45 minutes from my home I plan to go back. Great selection of yarn fibers and weights. Also helpful tools. Kaitlyn was so helpful. I had two sweater patterns and she showed me a couple options for each. Never felt rushed or pressured. If you’re headed “up North” off Hwy 35 for the weekend stop in and check it out. You’ll probably find a fun project to enjoy.
